This meaningful gemstone band ring began with two colors that could hardly be more different.
One is warm red Nanhong agate.
The other is clear blue turquoise.
I kept the form almost identical — a simple, uninterrupted circle — and let the stones remain different.
That contrast became the meaning of the piece.
Some of the closest relationships in our lives are not built on being the same. A best friend may see the world differently. Sisters can grow into completely different people. Two people can take different paths and still remain deeply connected.
