ZHUSHA ZHI began with something very small — a red bean, and the idea of turning the feeling of missing someoneinto something you could wear close to the skin.
A little red bean
ZHUSHA ZHI started with something very small — a red bean.
In Chinese culture, red beans have long been connected withlonging and thinking of someone you care about.
It’s such a tiny thing, but it can carry a lot of meaning.
That made me wonder: if I could turn that feeling into somethingyou could keep close and wear every day, what would it look like?

I didn’t want it to be complicated
I’ve always felt that jewelry shouldn’t need to be loud.
It’s there to add something to the person wearing it,not to take over.
So I didn’t want ZHUSHA ZHI to become a complicated piece of jewelry.

Not every stone needs to look the same
I use one small natural stone as the center of each piece.
I try not to change its original shape more than necessary.
Because the people we meet are never exactly alike. And neither are the marks they leave with us.
Chosen one by one
Instead of taking stones and shaping them until they all lookidentical, I look through them one by one.
I pay attention to the shape, color, proportion, and how each one feels when worn.
Sometimes I go through many before finding the few that feel right.
Selected by hand. Made by hand. One at a time.
The first pieces
The first ZHUSHA ZHI release includes necklaces and braceletsmade with natural red agate, black agate, white chalcedony, and warm-toned jade.
Why I keep the design simple
Simplicity is an important part of ZHUSHA ZHI for me.I don’t want the jewelry to become the first thing you notice about the person wearing it. I want it to feel like a small detail that belongs there. That’s why the chain stays fine, the metal details stay minimal, and the stone remains the center of the piece. The natural shape matters too. A stone doesn’t need to be perfectly round or perfectly matched to another one to feel right.Sometimes the small differences are exactly what make me choose it.I think jewelry can be meaningful without asking for attention. It can simply stay close to you, quietly becoming part of your everyday life. Each piece is made in a small batch.Because the stones keep their natural differences, you can choose the exact stone you want to receive.

A mark you give meaning to
ZHUSHA ZHI began with longing.
But I don’t think its meaning has to belong only to romantic love.
It might remind you of someone. A place. A memory.Or even a version of yourself you want to keep close.
You decide who — or what — it represents.
