Some jewelry begins with a stone. This pair began with an image: a face surrounded by rays of light.
Our Carry the Light earrings bring that image into something personal—a small golden presence beside the face, moving gently as you go about your day.
Their Chinese name, 携光, means “to carry light.” It holds the thought behind the design: a reminder of the warmth, curiosity, and quiet strength you already carry within you.
A Face for the Sun
A circle, a face, a gathering of rays. These simple forms give the distant sun an almost familiar expression.
Among the rock carvings of China’s Helan Mountains is a well-known human-faced image commonly called the “Sun God.” Its prominent eyes and surrounding lines offer a striking point of reference for thinking about the relationship between human faces and solar imagery.
Centuries and continents away, the sun took on a different role at the court of Louis XIV. The French king adopted it as his personal emblem, associating his image with Apollo and the life-giving regularity of the sun. Here, solar imagery became part of the language of royal authority.
These images belong to different places, periods, and traditions. For us, their connection is visual and poetic: each gives light a face.
Our earrings draw from that shared visual possibility, bringing a human expression and a radiating circle together in a contemporary design.

From Image to Earring
At the center of each earring sits a rounded face, framed by short, outward-reaching lines. Curved brows, small circular cheeks, and a delicate mouth give it a gentle expression.
Above it, a round stud and a fan-shaped section form the upper part of the design. A smaller curved piece hangs below. Fine connecting rings allow the four sections to move independently, giving the silhouette a little life with every turn of the head.

The brushed surface is an essential part of its character. Fine lines catch the light across the gold finish, while the engraved features remain subtle. Up close, the texture invites a second look; from a distance, the shape reads clearly.
The result is expressive, warm, and easy to make your own.
Golden Detail, Light on the Ear
The earrings are made from copper plated with 24k gold, with 925 sterling silver posts.
Each measures approximately 2.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm long. At around 4.2 g per pair, they offer a noticeable silhouette with little weight.

We like them beside a simple neckline, with hair tucked behind the ear so the face and moving sections can be seen. A cotton shirt, a soft knit, or an evening dress gives the gold a different setting. Let the rest follow your mood.
Jewelry should have room to become part of your life.
What It Means to Carry Light
For this design, light is a personal metaphor.
It might be the courage to begin again. The warmth you bring to a friendship. A part of yourself that has grown clearer with time.
We chose the name Carry the Light as a small wish for the wearer: to stay close to whatever helps you feel most yourself.
I see your warmth. Keep it with you.
Given as a gift, the earrings can hold that same thought—a quiet way to recognize someone’s warmth and the light they bring into your life.

A Little Light, Your Own Way
At RONGHUA, we believe the person wearing the jewelry comes first. A piece can add color, movement, or meaning while leaving room for your own character to show.
These sun face earrings are our way of giving that idea a golden form.
Carry a little light. Make it your own.
